### Step 1: Download the Robot Installer

1. Log in to Robotiq.ai HQ.
2. Go to **Settings** in the left menu bar.
3. Click **Robots**.
4. Click the **Download robot** button. This download might take a few minutes.

Before running the robot, verify that the “**Use latest DevelopmentBot**” option is enabled.

If you enable *Use Latest DevelopmentBot* (toggle set to True) and a download prompt appears, it may indicate that the installed robot version is older than 3.0.7554.0. In this case, click Download Robot to install the latest version.

Once the download is complete, reopen the process or refresh the page using Ctrl + F5, and then try running the process again. If your robot version is already higher than 3.0.7554.0 and the message still appears, click Try Again until the system detects the updated robot version.

### **Old robot versions**

If you install a version older than v**3.0.7554.0**, the legacy port-based functionality will be used.

In this case, you must configure the required settings and select False for the Latest Development Bot option in HQ. We do not recommend using older versions, as they are no longer supported.
