Using the Recorder

Take a look at our video on how to use the Recorder. The Recorder has its own dedicated log file. If the Recorder fails to locate an element that it was expected to capture, you can review the log to see what happened or share it with Support for further investigation.

The log file is located at %appdata%\Robotiq\logs

Important Notes

• The Recorder does not capture File Explorer interactions, so actions performed within File Explorer will not be recorded.
• The target application must be already running before you start recording. The Recorder cannot launch or detect applications that are not open.
• The first step in the recording must be focusing on the target application. This allows the Recorder to correctly identify which application is being used.
